Our CEO's Story
Imma Nwobodu, MSM, MBA, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Immpreciv, a housing and community development planning company. Imma has over 30 years of leadership experience in Housing and Community Planning Development. She's worked with the public sector in both New Jersey and South Carolina. She has experience in the fiscal management of multi-million-dollar public and private funds for programs and projects, ensuring suitable living conditions for the residents, infrastructure improvements, and attainable/affordable housing to the public.
She provides consulting services and bridges the gap with public agencies and organizations in housing development, community and economic development, community revitalization planning, and implementation strategies. She has years of experience in the compliance, programmatic, and fiscal management of the Entitlement Funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME and Emergency Solutions Grants, and other special funds from HUD and EPA. She has managed and administered EPA Brownfield Assessment and Clean-Up grants to ensure the availability of redevelopment opportunities and reutilization of the perceived, contaminated sites and properties.
She creatively partners with other agencies to develop affordable and workforce housing projects and programs. This is made possible by creating new and/or preserving existing housing for homeownership and rental purposes. The different housing types serviced are single-family detached/attached units and multi-family housing development opportunities.
She is also strongly involved with the implementation of neighborhood revitalization strategies for low- and moderate-income communities which provide much-needed infrastructure improvements utilizing leveraged public funds. These revitalization projects consist of constructing roads, sanitary sewer lines, stormwater drains, curbs, gutters, landscaping, and lighting to serve the residents in the community. She promotes economic development initiatives, such as small business loans and façade improvement programs for small business owners and start-ups.
Imma is a current member and former President of the South Carolina Community Development Association (SCCDA), a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and the South Carolina chapter of APA. She is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and former member of United Way Women's Leadership. Imma is an Urban and Regional Planner with a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in management/project management from New England College, New Hampshire. She is also an alum of the Furman University Women Leadership Institute.
Imma strongly strives to ensure that housing opportunities are affordable, attainable, and accessible to the public. She is married with three children - two sons and a daughter.
